I have 11 years of teaching experience. Of those 11 years, 8 years have been in a Title 1 school. I have taught 3 years in a pre-k classroom, 1 year in a 1st grade classroom and 7 years in a kindergarten classroom. Through these years I have found a way to engage my students through technology while teaching my students curriculum and important life skills.

I love to use technology any chance I get with my students. When using technology, students become more engaged and more comfortable with its use. I also love to use Conscious Discipline with my students. I understand fully that my students' emotional needs must be met in order for them to be able and ready to learn.

Although I was quiet, I always loved school and did well in school. I graduated from high school and continued on to college where I received my undergraduate degree and a certification in Early Childhood Education. After teaching pre-k for a few years, I went on to earn my certification in Elementary Education. Later I also went back to earn my Masters in Literacy Education.

My husband, Chris, is a firefighter. We have three beautiful boys. Life is good!
