Experience

I am currently a Special Day Class elementary school teacher for Fresno Unified School District. In addition, I teach online courses for the University of Phoenix. The classes I teach for Fresno Unified are all special education core curriculum classes.

My own education history

I possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Cultural Studies. Additionally, I have a Master of Science in Special Education. Furthermore, I maintain a Professional, Clear, and Multiple-Subject Credential with a Cross-Cultural, Language, and Academic Development emphasis. I also have an Educational Specialist Teaching Credential.

Additional biographical information

When I was at teaching at Golden Valley Unified School district, I created a program called L.I.F.E., which stands for Learning Independence from Education Program. I have developed a pilot program called C.A.R.E. (Computers and Reliable Educators), which was approved by the Fresno Unified School District. This allowed me to take over 70 old computers and break them down only to turn them into updated computers for a school that did not have any yet. This is in addition to the faculty training, teacher mentoring, student-teacher mentoring, and student tutoring I have done over the course of my career.
