About the store
I am currently in my 16th year of serving as an educator. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching in rural Mississippi, New Orleans, Louisiana, and, most recently, Washington, D.C., and the resources in my store reflect the culturally responsive, engaging, and rigorous practices that have supported students across each of those communities.
My most important role, however, is being a mom to my two boys. That journey has inspired me to begin creating materials that support early childhood development, meaningful family learning experiences, and joyful moments of connection between children and the adults who love them most.

Independent and Dependent Variable Practice
This worksheet is used to give students additional at-bats around identifying independent and dependent variables. On page 1 students are tested on their ability to find errors in experimental design. Ultimately, students should be able to identify that the experimental design error is the use of more than one independent variable. Students will then need to use their understanding of independent and dependent variables to create a line graph.

During the second quarter our middle school students struggled tremendously with safe transitions. We used the document above to push students to reflect on the highest impacting issues, and acknowledge their involvement in how they were contributing to the success or challenges in each transition. This resource is meant to support students in self-identifying their impact across the larger grade-level culture.
