Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered, engaging, and nurturing. I believe every child can learn when instruction is clear, consistent, and connected to real life. I use a hands-on, multisensory approach that blends phonics, storytelling, visuals, and repetition to help students master reading and writing skills with confidence. My lessons are built on structure and creativity—balancing academic rigor with joyful learning moments that motivate students to explore, think critically, and express themselves. I also focus on calm, affirming classroom interactions, encouraging students to feel seen, valued, and capable. Whether teaching in small groups or whole-class settings, I aim to create an environment where mistakes are part of growth and every learner finds their voice. 💬 “Teach with patience, guide with love, and celebrate every step of progress.”

Awards & shining teacher moments

Over my 16 years in education, I’ve been blessed with moments that remind me why I teach — seeing students who once struggled begin to read fluently, watching reluctant writers fill pages with pride, and hearing families say, “You made learning come alive for my child.” Some of my shining teacher moments include: ✨ Being recognized by my school leadership for transformative literacy growth among English Learners and struggling readers. ✨ Leading district-wide reading fluency initiatives that improved student outcomes across multiple grade levels. ✨ Creating the Temtots Literacy Evaluation Model (T-LEM) — an original framework that integrates listening, speaking, reading, and writing to help teachers assess literacy holistically. ✨ Supporting teachers through coaching, small-group interventions, and hands-on literacy workshops. ✨ Receiving heartfelt thank-you notes from students who once said, “Reading is hard,” and later declared, “I love reading now!” Each of these moments fuels my mission to keep designing meaningful, practical resources that help teachers teach better and help students believe in themselves.

Additional biographical information

Teaching has always been more than a career for me — it’s a calling. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, each with their own story, strengths, and learning pace. My greatest joy comes from watching those “lightbulb moments” when understanding finally clicks and confidence begins to bloom. Outside the classroom, I’m a creator, writer, and lifelong learner. I design educational resources under Temtots Educational Services, a brand inspired by my passion for literacy, creativity, and empowerment. Every resource I create reflects my belief that learning should be joyful, accessible, and deeply meaningful. I’m also a mom, mentor, and motivator who believes that education shapes futures far beyond test scores — it builds character, resilience, and purpose. My work continues to be guided by faith, love for children, and a commitment to excellence in everything I do. 💫 “Every child is a story waiting to be read, nurtured, and celebrated.”
