12 years at Benton Harbor Area Schools, Benton Harbor, MI; taught 7th and 8th grade math; taught all subjects to 4th, 5th, & 6th graders in a self-contained Montessori classroom that later developed into three team-teachers teaching in a departmentalized fashion with my responsibilities being science (using Scott Foresman texts) for all three grade levels and social studies (using Harcourt Horizons: United States History text) for 5th grade; I have a middle school math endorsement (math and science are my passion!); continued to increase student MEAP scores in science; participated on curriculum writing for the district for many years; participated on Science Olympiad comities including student participation and school event......are we to give a resume here??? :)

Study Guides for Scott Foresman Science - 4th grade edition (red bk)
These study guides were made to be used with Scott Foresman Science text (4th grade edition - red book). They cover all the questions on both A and B forms of the chapter and unit tests. It forces the student to review the lessons in the chapter to complete the questions on the study guide. They can be given at the end of chapters/units to study before the tests; or even at the beginning of the chapters/units to be completed as you work through them.

Vocab Tests Chaps 1-7 Harcourt Horizons United States History text
These vocabulary pretests and post tests are written to be used with the vocabulary found in the Harcourt Horizons United States History text. Each lesson has a pretest with the previous pretest's words still listed to repeat the exposure. The post test is then a culmination of all the vocabulary within the chapter. The order of the words are as introduced in the chapter, but the definitions are continually reshuffled for each new test. Answer keys given!

Teaching style
varies for the student - some need repetition; some need individual attention; some just take off on their own and only need guidance; I hope to encourage life-long learners who try to find the answers for themselves...
Additional biographical information
Became a stay-at-home mom with the birth of my third child - she is now finishing tenth grade; my oldest two are in college now; I wanted and needed to be home to support their educational journey, but I can't shake the teacher in me...so I hope I can provide some useful tools that I have used over the years for others; please let me know if there is anything in particular that I can supply and I will see what I can do :)
