With 15 years in secondary math education, I’ve served as a classroom teacher, math coach, and secondary math specialist. I own MelEd LLC, an educational resource firm, and also run a successful tutoring business supporting students from intervention to AP. My passion is creating resources that bring clarity, confidence, and real understanding to every learner.

My teaching style is all about making math clear, approachable, and meaningful. I believe students learn best when they’re guided step by step, encouraged to explain their thinking, and given the chance to practice in ways that build both confidence and reasoning skills. Whether I’m working in a classroom, leading small groups, coaching teachers, or tutoring one-on-one, I focus on breaking down big ideas into manageable parts while still keeping the rigor that helps students grow. Every resource I create is designed with that same balance of support and challenge; so learners don’t just get the answer, they truly understand the math behind it.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, and a Master of Business Administration. This combination gives me both a deep understanding of math content and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly, along with the leadership and organizational skills to create resources that truly support teachers, tutors, and students.
