About the store
I have been a teacher since 2007 and worked as an Educational Interpreter for the Deaf for 10 years before that. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I have also earned certifications in Bilingual Education, ESL, Gifted and Talented and Secondary Math along the way. I also serve as the yearbook advisor in the high school setting. I am a wife, and mother to five children and a grandmother to one. Creating engaging resources for my kiddos is a wonderful creative outlet for me. I use these to keep score during our Table Wars. Students earn points for a variety of reasons in our class...table is on task, table is clean, table is following rules. At the end of the week the table with the most points wins.
Kids really love the different characters.

Teaching style
I love to use the hands on approach in teaching. I also incorporate the use of technology into my teaching with the use of computers and iPads. I believe that anyone can learn it just takes some a little longer and making learning fun and engaging is what will keep them going.

My own education history
I have an Associates Degree in Interpreting for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I then earned a BS in Occupational Training and Development and I finally earned my MS in Elementary Education.
Additional biographical information
I have worked at all levels. I began as a paraprofessional working with deaf and hard of hearing students. I then earned my masters degree in Elementary Education and worked with bilingual kindergarten and first grade students. I then challenged 4-8 math and moved up to middle school where I worked with 6-8th grade in the classroom and in the learning lab. I finally made my last challenge for 8-12th grade math. I am currently working with Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 Honor students.
