Hairy Money Posters

Hairy Money is a great way to teach students how to count money. Uses skip counting by 5s. Side note, most posters I have seen have the dot on top of the penny, on my posters, I placed it on the bottom only to give my students the extra visual cue to let them know to stop counting by 5s and start by ones.

Table Wars

I use these to keep score during our Table Wars. Students earn points for a variety of reasons in our class...table is on task, table is clean, table is following rules. At the end of the week the table with the most points wins. Kids really love the different characters. Clipart by: Dorky Prints (www.etsy.com)

Teaching style

I love to use the hands on approach in teaching. I also incorporate the use of technology into my teaching with the use of computers and iPads. I believe that anyone can learn it just takes some a little longer and making learning fun and engaging is what will keep them going.

Awards & shining teacher moments
