About the store
I have been a teacher since 2007 and worked as an Educational Interpreter for the Deaf for 10 years before that. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I have also earned certifications in Bilingual Education, ESL, Gifted and Talented and Secondary Math along the way. I also serve as the yearbook advisor in the high school setting. I am a wife, and mother to five children and a grandmother to one. Creating engaging resources for my kiddos is a wonderful creative outlet for me. Because dismissal changes so much during the first few weeks, I use a dismissal chart to keep track of my kids. I normally use this until the transportation has become routine in my classroom, usually about 2-3 weeks.

Who Are You? Editable Name Badges and Desk Plates
These name badges and desk plates go perfect with the welcome banner. The theme for these desk plates are owls, but if you would like a different them, email me and we can talk.
Name badges measure 3x4 to go with the Wal-Mart clear badges and the desk plates measure 3.5x9.5.

Winter Fun Working with 120 charts
Winter fun is a great way to help students master the 120 chart. There is a whole group game (Hide and Seek), 10 less and 10 more is a great way to help students develop some number sense. There is also a small group version of the hide and seek and then I have also included some fill in the missing number charts. Four different activities (with different versions of each) but a whole lot of fun.

Teaching style
I love to use the hands on approach in teaching. I also incorporate the use of technology into my teaching with the use of computers and iPads. I believe that anyone can learn it just takes some a little longer and making learning fun and engaging is what will keep them going.

My own education history
I have an Associates Degree in Interpreting for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I then earned a BS in Occupational Training and Development and I finally earned my MS in Elementary Education.
Additional biographical information
I have worked at all levels. I began as a paraprofessional working with deaf and hard of hearing students. I then earned my masters degree in Elementary Education and worked with bilingual kindergarten and first grade students. I then challenged 4-8 math and moved up to middle school where I worked with 6-8th grade in the classroom and in the learning lab. I finally made my last challenge for 8-12th grade math. I am currently working with Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 Honor students.
