I love being the first person to take the kids on a boat, to the beach, the bay, kayaking, etc. I try to help improve the environment for future generations by teaching my students how to be protectors of the environment.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching Science in Middle School for 10 years. I have worked with STEM programs and been a part of various large grants to bring environmental field experiences to my students. I love being the first person to take the kids on a boat, to the beach, the bay, kayaking, etc. I try to help improve the environment for future generations by teaching my students how to be protectors of the environment.

Teaching style

I love anything that will get the kids up and moving. My students perform lab stations, card sort, circuits, and task cards as they move around and share their experiences and examples with other groups. Collaboration and innovation are an important part of their final activities. I have my students become scientists, engineers, and thinkers.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Though I have received many honors, my favorite is always the smile on a students face when they are in my classroom! I love my students and work hard to make learning easier for them!

My own education history

I have an Associates Degree in Life/Earth Science, a B.S. in Environmental Science with an empathize on Education, and a Masters in Teacher Leadership.

Additional biographical information

My four kids keep me busy at home and students busy at school. I love teaching science and have some big dreams on new field investigations and classroom designs I need to fund. Hopefully, I can help save teachers time and energy with my work, in return providing more to my students and kids at home!
