I have been teaching for seven years. I spent two years in 5th grade and five in 3rd. I find it difficult to find resources that fit exactly my needs, so I create them!
These are the teacher input pages I use for my interactive notebook to teach Place Value. I shrink them to 85% in order to fit them on composition notebook pages. Notes include: Review of Place Value, Place Value, Compare and Order Numbers, Rounding, and Estimating.

This activity is a fun, engaging way to get students to compare and order numbers. I took my students to the lab where they got to look research different homes for sale in our area, pick their "dream homes" and then record their prices and sizes. When we got back to the classroom, they had to order and compare them in different ways.
