Experience
10 years as an Art Educator, based in Richmond, Virginia. I have taught in community centers, non-profits, and currently have been at a large public High School for 5 years.
Teaching style
I believe in holistic Art Education with a major focus being on student wellness, the process of art making is more crucial than the art product itself, using lots of positive based reinforcement to create a art studio community of mutual respect and growth!
Awards & shining teacher moments
In undergrad I received an awards for: Outstanding student excellence, photography excellence award and scholarship, awards every semester for Deans list and top academics. As a working professional I received a prestigious award for: Best new teacher of the year (The largest award given by my public High School annually, next to teacher of the year). I have a record of excellence.
