About the store
I bring over 23 years of experience in education, having served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, and regional leadership coach. I currently support campus leaders, often in rural and under-resourced schools, as they navigate instructional leadership, systems-building, data analysis, and high-stakes decision-making. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with new and experienced administrators, instructional coaches, and leadership teams to strengthen instructional practices, improve campus systems, and build clarity during moments of pressure, change, and accountability. The resources I create are grounded in real administrative work and best practices for effective schools, and are designed to support leaders who are carrying the weight of an entire campus.

Experience

Teaching style

My leadership style is practical, reflective, and systems-based with a focus on maximizing efficiency. I believe strong leadership is built at the intersection of: Clear systems Capacity building through Intentional coaching conversations and professional development Thoughtful, data-informed decision-making Maximizing time to increase productivity (working smarter, not harder) Culture that promotes growth I value tools that help leaders slow the chaos, think clearly, and act with purpose, especially because time is often limited and expectations are high. My resources are designed to support professional judgment, not replace it, and to offer structure without rigidity.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am honored to have been recognized by my peers for leadership and service, including: Nominee for the West Foundation Teaching Award TEPSA Region IX Assistant Principal of the Year (2014) TEPSA Region IX Principal of the Year (2019) These recognitions reflect my commitment to instructional leadership, campus culture, and supporting educators through meaningful systems and relationships.

My own education history

I hold degrees in education and educational leadership, and I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree, continuing my commitment to lifelong learning and leadership development. My academic background, combined with decades of hands-on experience, informs the resources I create which are both research-aligned and grounded in the realities of campus leadership.

Additional biographical information

I created The Admin Anchor to be the support I wish I had early in my leadership journey. Many campus leaders are expected to manage instruction, systems, people, and pressure—often without a roadmap or mentor. My goal is to provide administrators and instructional leaders with steady, practical tools that help them feel grounded, confident, and supported in their work. If you are a principal, assistant principal, instructional coach, or aspiring administrator looking for clarity and structure in demanding moments, you’re in the right place. Thank you for the work you do for students, staff, and communities. You are not meant to do this work alone.
