Experience

With over 15+ years in education, I have served as an elementary classroom teacher, literacy specialist, assistant principal, federal educator, district administrator, and school administrator. My work spans diverse school settings, from traditional public schools to state and federal government education programs, giving me a well‑rounded perspective on what teachers truly need. Every resource in my store is created with firsthand knowledge of curriculum demands, behavior systems, instructional gaps, and practical classroom management tools that actually work.

Teaching style

My teaching style blends structure, creativity, and student‑centered learning. I design resources that are easy to implement, engaging for students, and supportive of differentiated needs. Whether it’s literacy, classroom organization, or student accountability tools, my approach focuses on clarity, alignment to standards, and real classroom usability. My goal is to help teachers save time while delivering high‑impact instruction.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for leadership, literacy growth, academic progress and achievement, lowering discipline issues to record lows, and support for school improvement. Some of my shining moments include leading schoolwide literacy initiatives, coaching teachers to raise student proficiency, and developing systems that improved organization and instructional consistency. I’m most proud of empowering teachers and helping students succeed academically and behaviorally across the campuses I’ve served.

My own education history

I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education with an emphasis in Literacy Instruction, and I am a state‑certified Literacy Specialist. My passion for teaching and leadership has led me to serve as a professional development presenter at the district, state, and national levels, as well as a former adjunct professor of Early Childhood Education. In addition to my classroom and coaching experience, I have worked as both an assistant principal and a district‑level administrator, where I played a direct role in transforming underperforming schools. I also earned an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Administration, deepening my expertise in instructional leadership and school improvement. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Alongside my academic study, I continue to work as an educational consultant, offering professional development across South Carolina and the nation. My areas of specialty include instructional practices, literacy development, social‑emotional learning, professional learning communities, the growth mindset, and leadership development for school administrators. This blend of advanced education and real-world experience shapes every resource I create—ensuring it is grounded in research, aligned to best practices, and designed to support teachers and students truly.

Additional biographical information

As both an administrator and teacher, I understand the daily challenges educators face—limited time, shifting standards, and diverse student needs. That’s why I created The Admin Approved Classroom Company: a space where teachers can find practical, polished, administrator‑approved classroom materials. My federal and administrative experience allows me to create resources that work across district types and grade levels, helping teachers stay organized, compliant, and effective.
