Teaching style

My favorite subjects to teach are psychology and English, because the curriculum of both subjects allows for infinite connections to students' lives, allowing them to learn deeply about themselves as well. My teaching style is student centered and involves students learning actively through projects and collaborative assignments that often spread outside of the four walls of our classroom and out into the community. I'm also a huge psych nerd, and insert nerdy psych jokes and puns into my teaching whenever possible!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Magna Cum Laude - Bachelor's Degree; Summa Cum Laude - Master's Degree; Member of Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology)

My own education history

Sonoma State University BA in Psychology; University of the Pacific MA in Curriculum & Instruction; Completion of components I and II on my journey toward becoming a National Board Certified Teacher
