This is a sample pacing calendar (weekly lesson schedule) for my AP Research courses. It lays out the sequence of lessons and project pacing that has been successful in my courses. This is designed for a block schedule, but the basic pacing approach could be used to guide you as you design your own calendar. This also includes notes on what has worked for me and my students in the past.

Awards & shining teacher moments
I was awarded the social studies teacher of the year in my school in 2015/16.
I was then awarded the campus teacher of the year in my school in 2018/19.
My students have earned nationally-recognized passing rates in AP Seminar and AP Research and my AP Capstone program is one of the largest in the nation.
My own education history
I studied history at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
I subsequently earned my master's degree from the University of Chicago.
I consider myself an Early Modern specialist, with a special focus on the Middle East and Mediterranean.
