Welcome to the Art Class Resource Center!
Are you new to teaching art? Or maybe just looking for something new? Too many times I've seen teachers get thrown into teaching Art because it is just "Art". Well, I'm here to help!
I've been teaching junior high school Art for 5 years and a professional artist for more. I started painting in 2014 and have since sold artworks around the world, taught workshops to various age groups, and won awards in various art competitions.
In my shop, you will find engaging projects to use in your Middle School, Junior High School, and High School Art Classes. Each project will have a slideshow presentation you can use in class, a materials list, examples of each project, other printables as needed, and a simple rubric you can follow. I aim to help you give your students meaningful projects that will help them grow artistically.
A little more about me. I am trilingual. I grew up learning English. I then learned French and Italian in my teens and early 20's. I lived in Italy for a couple of years which I believe grew my appreciation for fine art. I have two bachelor's degrees. First, a degree in Education focusing on Modern Languages and Science, and second, a degree in Arts focusing on French.

Stained Glass Watercolor Painting Art Project - Middle/Junior High/ High School
This project focuses on line and shape to create purpose in art. Students get to create their own "stained glass" type watercolour painting. It would work great for middle, junior, and high school students. Grid Art is a drawing project that fits for students in middle/junior high school and high school alike. It focuses on both value and scale to help the students create stunning drawings. Teaching style
As an art teacher, I strive to bring out the courage in my students. I guide them as much as I feel necessary but want them to take their own risks and make their own choices in their art. As an artist myself, I dislike being told what to create. I understand that in school things need to be somewhat structured in terms of projects, so I often give my students a little leeway when choosing a subject for the project.
I focus a lot on planning and reflection throughout a project. Giving time for students to critically think about their projects and the processes they are going through will help them not only in Art Class but in many parts of life.
I didn't start painting until I was in my twenties. This means when I was the age of my students, I didn't think I was good at art and I didn't really like it that much. I am trying to break down barriers and stereotypes that some students have on art and help them try something new.

Many of my students have won awards in local art competitions from the projects that we have done in class. It always makes me feel extra proud when I was able to help guide them to create their own award-winning projects!
