I am a Gifted and Talented Specialist with a Master’s in Advanced Teaching Methods and am currently working on my PhD in Cognition and Instruction. I primarily teach upper elementary grades. Interacting with Hershey Bar Fractions
I use Jerry Pallotta's Hershey Bar Fraction book to go with this activity sheet. There were some pages I skipped because of standards and time. This activity lasted about 20min. The students loved it because they were required to do what the pages asked, but it gave them accountability to write down what they found. I used REAL Hershey bars, but you can also use brown paper as well. They loved eating them at the end as a reward for their hard work. This sheet was designed to meet South Car
