About the store
I have 20 years of experience working with children with behavioral diagnoses. I have helped develop classrooms for children with autism spectrum disorders in both a local school system and a local private school, and was involved in all aspects from designing the optimal layout for the classroom, to helping coordinate child and staff schedules, to creating behavior plans and training staff in the use of those plans. I then provided ongoing consultation and support to classroom staff for multiple years. I have worked with multiple school districts and private schools to provide consultation services in special education classrooms, been hired to attend numerous IEP meetings for children throughout the state, and have conducted many special educator trainings.

My own education history

I graduated with distinction and high honors from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology. During my college training, I also completed a practicum in a special education preschool. I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a masters in Clinical Psychology. I then became licensed as a mental health counselor.

Additional biographical information

I've worked in two top children's hospitals and as part of my state's early intervention program as a Developmental Therapist. I work with individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including ADHD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech delay, Down syndrome, and developmental delay. I have been published multiple times and have presented extensively throughout the country.
