I have worked in the field of developmental disabilities for over 15 years. In that time, I have provided behavior consultation, social skills groups and individual counseling in various school districts throughout the state to teachers, professionals, and students. In that capacity, I carried out multifactor behavior assessments, trained parent/staff in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and developed behavior interventions that can be carried out in the natural environment. I have provide training during case contact to doctoral students as part of their clinical training and served as primary supervisor (Field Instructor) to practicum students from the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I had provided periodic behavior management training workshops to professional staff/caregivers throughout the state.I have worked in developing behavior modification programs for parents, agency staff, and school staff who have identified an individual with challenging behaviors.
In recent years, I have developed, directed, and created lesson plans for a Social Skills Program through Rutgers, The State University of NJ. I had recruited graduate students from the GSW program to help assist in creating and running the programs.
Presently, I continue my work as a District Behavior Specialist at a very prominent school district.
My clinical interests are in the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and social skills training through the use of innovative technology and its effectiveness on individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental-health related behavioral challenges.
