NBCT with 18 years classroom experience!! I have taught students of all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences. Primarily an expert in Biology (co-taught through gifted and talented), I have also taught Paramedical Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Marine Biology, Forensic Science, Science Research. In addition to my classroom experience I have participated in curriculum writing for Biology, Honors Biology, Project Based Biology, and Forensic Science.

Though I have been in the classroom 18 years, I am still always working to develop my teaching style to adapt to my students' needs. One of the reasons why I have so many worksheets and activities to share is that I rarely do things EXACTLY the same way each year. I am a big believer in differentiated instruction and try to develop lessons that put the learning in the students hands.

When people ask me what I do for a living, I am proud to say that I am a teacher! I have come by my profession honestly as my father was MY biology teacher. I am also the mother (chauffer, tutor, referee, chef, art expert, coach and giver of hugs) of two amazing identical twin boys. As a working mom I value working "smarter and not harder" so a resource like Teachers Pay Teachers is a perfect match. I also have a slightly obsessive tendency towards formatting and playing with worksheets. It was a very good friend/co-worker who told me to stop procrastinating and join TpT and to share the fruits of my labors!!
