Teaching style

I like for my students to be able to make connections between various parts of English curriculum and genres. Because of this, I tend to keep the products I use in my classroom as straight-forward as possible: a.k.a. basic. I also like to make sure that my students are aware of testing scores and that they are setting goals to improve. Communication is KEY in the classroom.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies with an Emphasis in Art. I also took a large number of communication and leadership courses because they were interesting and useful. While in college, I worked at the campus Writing Center as a tutor, helping other students revise and edit their work. I am now certified to teach English for grades 7 through 12 and Art for grades K through 12.
