Here at the Bryar Patch, I feel it is important to start the year off with teaching students the expected rules and procedures. These posters can be printed (in B&W or color), cut out, laminated, and hung in the classroom to remind the students of the rules through the year. Learning names is only the start though. This resource is filled with many different get to know you games and activities to do with your students the first week of school. Whether you teach all subjects or just one subject, the activities are universal. Directions are included for each activity.

An appointment clock allows you to randomly pair students instead of having them choose their partners all the time. At the beginning of the year, the students will make appointments with others. When you want students to work with a partner, you will just have them meet with their appointment from a specific time. You can have them make new appointments with people through the year so they get to work with everyone.
