Rebus of the Day
Rebus Puzzles are a great way to expand your students thinking and to encourage students to look at problems in a different way. In my classroom we do a "Rebus of the Day" and students write their answers on slips of paper and hand in. At the end of the day, I announce the answer and a student explains how to solve it. I have them printed and pasted onto 6" x 6" squares of cardstock from a craft store and laminated for durability.
