About the store
I spent 20 years in the elementary classroom teaching both general education and special education in grades K–5. I’ve taught kindergarten and second grade, supported students with diverse learning needs, and worked closely with families to ensure every child felt seen, supported, and capable. Throughout my career, I’ve believed that strong academics begin with strong social and emotional foundations. When students feel safe, connected, and confident, real learning happens. Now, I create practical, ready-to-use SEL lessons that support classroom teachers in building those foundations without adding more stress to their day.

About the store

Experience

I spent 20 years in the elementary classroom teaching both general education and special education in grades K–5. I’ve taught kindergarten and second grade, supported students with diverse learning needs, and worked closely with families to ensure every child felt seen, supported, and capable. Throughout my career, I’ve believed that strong academics begin with strong social and emotional foundations. When students feel safe, connected, and confident, real learning happens. Now, I create practical, ready-to-use SEL lessons that support classroom teachers in building those foundations without adding more stress to their day.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in a whole-child approach. I believe learning is both academic and emotional. Students thrive when they feel: • Connected • Understood • Capable • Calm My lessons are designed to be: ✔ Simple to implement ✔ Clear and structured ✔ Developmentally appropriate ✔ Supportive of diverse learners Whether you teach in a general education or special education setting, my goal is to help you confidently guide meaningful conversations about emotions, friendships, problem-solving, and self-regulation.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The moments that shine brightest for me aren’t awards — they’re breakthroughs. They’re the quiet victories: • A student learning to manage frustration instead of shutting down • A class learning how to disagree respectfully • A child discovering confidence after struggling socially • A family feeling supported and heard After 20 years in the classroom, I’ve seen firsthand that teaching social-emotional skills changes classrooms — and lives.

My own education history

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education • Master’s Degree in Literacy Studies • Countless additional graduate credits, including coursework for gifted learners My background allows me to design lessons that are accessible, differentiated, and grounded in strong instructional practices.

Additional biographical information

I’m a mom, a wife, and a lifelong educator at heart. I also parent a child with an IEP, which has deepened my understanding of how critical advocacy, emotional support, and individualized instruction truly are. My passion has always been helping children grow — not just academically, but socially and emotionally. I’m equally passionate about supporting teachers, because I know how demanding this work can be. My goal is to create resources that make you feel calm, confident, and supported in your classroom.
