About the store

Experience

I have four years of experience teaching general education in 2nd grade, two years working with 3-4-year-old preschool students in special education, and am currently serving as a resource teacher for students in grades 3-5. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of supporting students across a wide range of ages and learning needs.

Teaching style

I foster a learning environment where students actively engage in peer discussions, encouraging collaborative exploration of ideas. Through thought-provoking questions, I guide and challenge students to think critically, while giving them the autonomy to take ownership of their own learning journey. This approach promotes deeper understanding and empowers students to become independent thinkers.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's degree from Evergreen State University, which has equipped me with the skills to cultivate critical thinking in my students. I am certified to teach general education from early childhood through 6th grade and also hold a special education certification for students up to 12th grade. Most recently, I earned a Master's degree in Special Education from Arizona State University, further enhancing my expertise in supporting diverse learners and fostering their academic growth.
