Experience

I have been following my dream of teaching elementary age students for the past nine years. I have had experience in Virginia, Georgia, and this coming year will be my sixth year in Texas.

Teaching style

I have always loved working with kids because I am a HUGE kid at heart. I have a passion for differentiation because I believe every child is unique and has their own set of abilities. I LOVE the quote by A. Einstein, ""Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Every single child has something BIG to bring to this world and I find myself lucky to be one of the teachers in the world who gets to inspire a child and see them find that. I believe that encompasses helping students who are behind, see their worth and their talents in other aspects and helping them achieve the material to the best of their ability. I also see that in showing students who find it easy and come into my class knowing the material already- to help them grow and learn even more.

My own education history

Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in social studies; Minor in Childhood Early Development. I also am STEM certified!
