Since I couldn't find one of these on TPT, I decided to make my own. This is a 1-300 chart that can be edited for whatever you need. You can take out some of the numbers for your students to write in or use it as a counting tool when students are adding two two-digit numbers. I am using it as a strategy with one and two step word problems. Either way, hope you like it!
This worksheet helps students to practice using both the inches and centimeters sides of their rulers. They then have to compare the two numbers and find the difference. The writing at the bottom allows students the opportunity to explain how they got their answers.
Common Core Standards:
2.MD.2 - Measure the length of an object twice, using length units of different lengths for the two measurements.
2.MD.4 - Measure to determine how much longer one object is than another, expressing the length
In this activity, students will use a paper clip to spin. They will build two three-digit numbers and then, using symbols, compare them. This can be an individual activity or with partners.
Common Core Standards:
2.NBT.3 - Read and write numerals to 1000
2.NBT.4 - Compare two three-digit numbers based on the meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using >, =, < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
