My Journey in Education: A Passionate Path
I began my teaching career in the vibrant world of 1st grade, where I spent nine wonderful years helping young learners take their first steps in education. Those early years were filled with joy and discovery, and they ignited a lifelong passion for teaching within me.
After nearly a decade with first graders, I transitioned to teaching 4th grade, where I dedicated eleven years of my career. My experience was further enriched by teaching split classes, including four 4th/5th grade splits and one 3rd/4th split. These experiences taught me the importance of adaptability and allowed me to cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring that every student received the attention and support they deserved.
Currently, I teach 5th grade, and I've just completed my ninth year in this role. Teaching 5th grade has been an incredibly rewarding experience, adding depth and breadth to my teaching journey. In total, I've had the privilege of teaching for 29 years, each year bringing new challenges and triumphs.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of experiencing countless memorable moments. The excitement I feel when my students finally grasp challenging concepts is truly rewarding. Positive interactions, sharing stories, and participating in dress-up days are just a few of the many ways I connect with my students, fostering a joyful and engaging learning environment.
Teaching is more than just a profession to me; it's a calling. I'm passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of my students, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to nurture young minds every day.
