We are a pair of teachers from Newtown, CT. Chris Eide has been teaching for four years at the STEM Academy in Danbury, CT. Amanda Eide has been teaching for two years and is currently teaching in Woodbury, CT.

Teaching style

We believe in a student centered approach to education. Our lesson plans feature project-based approaches to delivering content while improving student skills. We have a focus on 21st century learning and using technology to empower students in their own education.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Chris Eide was selected to attend the Honeywell Educators @ Space Academy in 2013, where he connected with educators from around the world and learned skills in teaching astronomy that he has brought back to his own classroom.

My own education history

Chris Eide attended Western Connecticut State University, where he received his BA in biology and MA in teaching. Amanda Eide attended Western Connecticut State University, where she received her BS in education.
