The Elementary Atelier

With 13 years of experience teaching 3rd and 4th grade, I am passionate about creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences that help students thrive. I have had the opportunity to grow as an educator within two different schools and districts, gaining valuable perspective on what truly supports student success. I believe that high-quality, thoughtfully designed resources can make a powerful difference in the classroom. Every product I create is rooted in real classroom experience, carefully crafted to be both effective and practical for teachers. My goal is to save you time while providing materials that support strong instruction, build student confidence, and foster a love of learning. My teaching style is rooted in building confident, capable learners who believe in their ability to do hard things. I strive to create a classroom where students are given meaningful autonomy—where they take ownership of their learning, make choices, and grow through both success and challenge. I’m passionate about helping students become more than just strong learners—I want them to become lifelong readers, curious thinkers, and adventurous explorers of the world around them. I intentionally design experiences that spark curiosity, introduce new ideas, and encourage students to step outside of what feels familiar. Above all, my goal is to empower students to discover their interests, expand their horizons, and leave my classroom with the confidence and skills to keep learning long after they walk out the door.

I earned my first bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Archaeology—driven by a love of history, discovery, and the idea of adventure. While I quickly learned that life in the field wasn’t quite the right fit for me, that curiosity and passion for learning never left. After spending 10 years working in finance, I felt called to pursue something more meaningful. I returned to school at Idaho State University to earn my teaching certificate—and it was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I also hold a Master of Education in Instructional Design and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. These experiences have shaped not only my teaching, but the intentional, student-centered resources I create today.
