About the store
I believe mathematics naturally exists in our world, and mathematicians are the curious ones that have tried to pin it down. Doing so comes with great triumph and great defeat. In my classroom, I strive for each of my students not only to do math but to BE a mathematician. I have learned alongside my many mathematicians over the years in my Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Precalculus classes.

Experience

I believe mathematics naturally exists in our world, and mathematicians are the curious ones that have tried to pin it down. Doing so comes with great triumph and great defeat. In my classroom, I strive for each of my students not only to do math but to BE a mathematician. I have learned alongside my many mathematicians over the years in my Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Precalculus classes.

Teaching style

My students, like the mathematicians they are, observe the world around them and ask questions. They make predictions, follow through with experiments, and find a way to prove their findings. My job is to provide the intellectual space, resources, opportunities, and guidance to help them get there on their mathematical journeys.

My own education history

I studied at Illinois State University and have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Math Education.
