I have taught high school math since 2004. I have taught Geometry, Trignometry, Statistics, AP Statistics, and Algebra II. Prior to teaching, I was a Mechanical Engineer for 7 years.
This item can be used to introduce function families and the characteristics of each. It may also be used as a culminating review activity for students. I have included 2 versions of the notes: a fill-in-the-blank version and a completed version that can be given to students. Characteristics for each family include:

- x and y intercepts
- End Behavior
- Increasing & Decreasing Intervals
- Asymptotes

This product includes detailed teacher and student notes and examples for the following methods of factoring: Greatest Common Factor (GCF), Difference of Two Squares, Sum of Two Cubes, Difference of Two Cubes, and Trial & Error.
Teacher Powerpoint spells out detailed procedures for factoring methods. Interlaced within the procedures is the step-by-step completion of an example problem. After notes are presented for each topic, three example problems are given.

Teaching style
I know I have gotten the most satisfaction from my education when I have given it my all and done my best. Sometimes that means stretching yourself and getting out of your comfort zone. I expect my students to do the same so they can feel that same sense of accomplishment.
