This is a four operation Around the World Powerpoint with negations. There are a few negatives and a few double digit numbers. However, I use this as a quick activity at the end of class or when the kids need a small break. I ask the kids to stand when they "duel." The winner moves to the next student. I keep going until the slide run out. The winner is the person who has moved the farthest from their original starting point. This would make a great practice activity for upper elementary

Experience

I have taught high school math since 2004. I have taught Geometry, Trignometry, Statistics, AP Statistics, and Algebra II. Prior to teaching, I was a Mechanical Engineer for 7 years.

Teaching style

I know I have gotten the most satisfaction from my education when I have given it my all and done my best. Sometimes that means stretching yourself and getting out of your comfort zone. I expect my students to do the same so they can feel that same sense of accomplishment.
