About the store
Welcome to The Epps Method! I am a middle school educator with advanced degrees in mathematics and curriculum and instruction, along with years of experience designing structured, engaging lessons that push students beyond surface-level understanding. My background includes work as a classroom teacher, department chair, and instructional coach, supporting both students and fellow educators. My work is rooted in real classroom experience—every resource is created with the goal of helping students think critically, stay engaged, and truly understand the “why” behind the content. I have worked extensively with diverse learners and understand the challenges teachers face when balancing rigor, engagement, and classroom management. As a parent of a child with high-functioning autism and ADHD, I bring a deeply personal understanding of the importance of structure, clarity, and accessibility in learning. This perspective directly influences how I design my resources—ensuring they support a wide range of learners through clear expectations, thoughtful scaffolding, and meaningful opportunities for understanding. At The Epps Method, you will find lessons that are practical, structured, and classroom-tested. These are not just worksheets—they are thoughtfully designed learning experiences that support both teachers and students. You can expect a consistent focus on: -Clarity -Engagement -Real learning Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about getting the right answer—it’s about understanding why it makes sense.

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, intentional, and student-centered. I believe students learn best when expectations are clear, thinking is visible, and learning is active. My lessons are designed to: -Break down complex concepts into manageable, clear steps -Encourage student discourse and explanation of thinking -Connect math to real-world situations and meaningful contexts -Provide multiple entry points so all learners can access the content -Build independence while still offering the right level of support You’ll notice a consistent focus on: -Clarity -Engagement -Real understanding Because at the end of the day, it’s not about students just getting answers—it’s about them knowing why those answers make sense.

My own education history

I hold advanced degrees in education and mathematics, including a Master’s degree in Middle School Mathematics and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Curriculum and Instructional Planning. My academic background is grounded in both content knowledge and instructional design, allowing me to create lessons that are not only accurate but meaningful and accessible for students. In addition, I hold a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Organizational Communication, which has strengthened my ability to design systems, communicate clearly, and support learning across diverse environments. My educational experiences have shaped my belief that strong instruction requires both deep content understanding and thoughtful planning.

Additional biographical information

I am a middle school educator, curriculum designer, and former instructional leader with a passion for helping students build confidence in their learning. Over the years, I have served in multiple roles including classroom teacher, department chair, and instructional coach—supporting both students and fellow educators. I have worked extensively with diverse learners and understand the challenges teachers face when trying to balance rigor, engagement, and classroom management. That reality is what drives my work. As a parent of a child with high-functioning autism and ADHD, I bring a deeply personal understanding of the importance of structure, clarity, and accessibility in learning. This perspective directly influences how I design my resources—ensuring that lessons are not only engaging, but also supportive of students who need clear expectations, thoughtful scaffolding, and opportunities to process learning in different ways. The resources I create are practical, structured, and classroom-tested. They are designed not just to “look good,” but to actually work in real classrooms—with real students who need consistency, support, and meaningful learning experiences. Beyond the classroom, I am committed to continuous growth and leadership in education, with a focus on improving student outcomes and supporting teachers in doing their best work.
