I have been teaching 5th grade for the past 18 years in the New Jersey public school system. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree with a Reading Specialist certification. I have earned 15 graduate credits thus far.
You get 4 different Google forms of 10 questions each that are grade level appropriate and MPC!!! The Google forms are not simply guided reading fill in the blanks but thoughtful questions that are not too easy nor too hard. They can be used as a classwork grade or quiz grade. This product is a lifesaver! My struggle with FOSS, even as an 18 year veteran teacher and science degree holder, was there was nothing to get grades from! The I-checks are really tough and the notebook is too subjective
You will receive 23 detailed & creative lesson plans some of which take more than 1 day. These plans are not a generic plan from my district or any other. They are certainly not a replica of the FOSS book. They are well thought out by me personally, condense the first half of the unit as a whole (so you can actually finish this unit & get to the other ones....so many redundant lessons in FOSS), & includes many lessons that would make a phenomenal observation lesson. Pair this with my Googl
Students choose from 21 universal lab safety rules to create a poster or you assign one rule to each student to have a variety to display/use. When students follow the included rubric, you will have phenomenal lab safety posters to display! The rubric is very specific and covers everything needed for the polished result you want! They are phenomenal student examples included!

Cell Part Poster Analogy Project with rubric and example included.
Students write the name of their assigned cell part at the top of their poster with a definition. Then, they draw a detailed, colorful picture of their cell part in the center of their poster. Finally, they draw real life analogies for their cell part. For example, nucleus as the cell director is like our president who directs the country. Other analogies for a nucleus: principal, boss, president, Mr. Crabs (spongebob)
Minion themed Periodic Table of Elements Study Guide and Test all in one. Great for unit on atoms/periodic table, etc. My students do well on this every year. Includes common elements/symbols, like Oxygen, but some more challenging ones that are important for life also. ANSWER KEY INCLUDED
This includes interesting types of camouflage that are beyond the basic but understandable for any age level. Challenging but fun! I created this for an announced observation and got a score of innovating!
Here's a tasty way to familiarize students with the parts of a plant cell. I play Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" song for added fun. Parent letter included for supplies. Cell-e-brate Plants!
Students will make a partial model of their backbone to give them a hands on approach to understanding the purpose of cartilage & how our backbone really looks! Invite a local chiropractor in to speak to your students about the back, neck, etc & how to keep their skeletal system healthy!!
Two tests provided. One to do with students and use as a study guide and one to use later for evaluation.
