This file includes two pages, boy and girl, which demonstrate in easy steps how to draw a person using basic shapes and lines. Perfect for children who have difficulty with fine motor skills. Excellent for use during writer's workshop, especially for children who are still drawing stick people. Updated to include a version that has the new element in each step highlighted in red.

Ten frames with different values 1-10 are given. Children are to determine how many more they would need to make 10, then write the corresponding number sentence. Great practice with subitizing, compliments of ten, and addition. Perfect for use as an independent Math Center.

Dreidel is an excellent game for Math practice during Hanukkah or any time! This printable shows the symbols on the dreidel, what they mean, and a picture demonstrating what they mean as a reminder for children.

This worksheet goes well with the Fountas and Pinnell activity about plurals, adding s or es to show there is more than one. One side shows an objects with the singular form of the word, the other shows multiple objects and a line for student's to write in the plural form of the word by adding s.

This sort accompanies a lesson about features of a sentence. The sentences/phrases utilize sight words and CVC words that students should be able to read independently. Students will read the words, determine if it is a sentence or not, then glue it in the appropriate column.

Independent practice for students to experiment with Pan Balance. Perfect for use as a math center. Put out various objects with pan balances, students will experiment then need to draw two objects that were equal weight, and two objects that are different weights, putting each on the appropriate side of the balance.

This is a sheet to help students who are having difficulty recognizing and working with teen numbers. It is great for using as a helper during small group math instruction, independent math work, or at a math center. It has a number line at the top from 1-20, then shows what the numbers 10-20 look like in tens frames.

Great Math practice for teen numbers, number sense, and counting on. Each problem has a group of 10 circles, then some additional stars. Children are to count the stars by counting on from 10, not counting all of the circles. All shapes are in rows as they would be in a ten frame.

This worksheet has pictures of compound words broken down into their 2 parts. Children will look at the pictures, combine them to figure out the compound word, then draw a picture of the compound word. For example where there is a picture of rain and a picture of a bow they will draw beneath it a rainbow. Great for use reinforcing compound words! Can challenge students by having them write words to label each picture as well.

After reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar students are to write the days of the week, and recall the story by gluing the correct food onto each day. Great for use as the apply with the Fountas and Pinnell lesson for matching days of the week words, as well as story recall.

Fun, independent way for students to practice letter ID, and upper/lowercase letter discrimination. Write the upper and lowercase letter on each side of a counter or on different sides of dice. Students will flip the counter or roll the dice and graph how many times they each upper and lower case letter. They can graph by tracing over the letter and/or coloring in the spaces. A fun, independent activity!
