About the store
I have been teaching full time since 2012. I began teaching through Teach for America and then moved back to my hometown after that commitment to continue teaching chemistry. I have taught secondary science, but my main course has always been general and honors chemistry. My past teaching assignments include: 7th grade science, biology, earth science, and chemistry. I have been working at the same school since 2014 and have had the opportunity to grow my course constantly. The school is a constant challenge and I am excited to bring you new ways to teach your scientific content each year.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching full time since 2012. I began teaching through Teach for America and then moved back to my hometown after that commitment to continue teaching chemistry. I have taught secondary science, but my main course has always been general and honors chemistry. My past teaching assignments include: 7th grade science, biology, earth science, and chemistry. I have been working at the same school since 2014 and have had the opportunity to grow my course constantly. The school is a constant challenge and I am excited to bring you new ways to teach your scientific content each year.

Teaching style

I teach at a Blended Learning school, so I act as a facilitator between students and content. I am an avid interactive notebook user and love to complete a lab with my students every other week. Students spend about 50% of their time doing activities with me and 50% of their time working at their own pace. I believe the best way to bring science into the classroom is through hands on learning
