About the store
Up to 3.6 million students who should be enrolled in gifted learning programs are currently overlooked (Hechinger Report). As a former classroom educator, I know firsthand how difficult it is to meet the needs of every student—and how often gifted learners are left without the challenge and support they need to thrive. I’m an advocate and educator committed to equity in gifted education—an ardent supporter of the curious. As a former “TAG” (Talented and Gifted) student, a teacher, and the parent of four gifted children, I understand this issue from every angle. I’m also the founder of The Gifted Education Coalition, an organization dedicated to expanding access to rigorous, engaging, and meaningful academic experiences for gifted and high-ability learners.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in project-based learning, inquiry-driven exploration, and a mastery-based approach that honors each student’s pace and depth of understanding. I design learning experiences that are open-ended, creative, and challenge students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and pursue their passions. I believe in depth over speed, asynchronous development, and providing differentiated, rigorous tasks that support autonomous thinking and intellectual risk-taking—hallmarks of gifted education.
