The Groovy Room

This is an addition sheet made to be put into a dry erase sleeve. Whole number goes on top and addends are drawn in by students in the large boxes. Equation lines provided at the bottom. I like to use dice with this activity. Roll and get a 6, draw 6 dots on one side. Roll again and get a 4, draw 4 dots on the other side. Add up the dots and write the whole/big number/sum in the little box on top. Finish with the equation. So many other ways to use this mat for practicing addition. Try drawing m
