About the store
I have been teaching mathematics for over 15 years and I love every minute of it. I have spent a lot of time over the past few years focussing on my resources and improving my teaching strategies. I recently had a child and watching them learn how to fit shapes into a block has shown me how hard learning/ It has reminded me how difficult various mathematical concepts can be and helped me refocus and appreciate the difficulties towards learning new topics some students can face.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching mathematics for over 15 years and I love every minute of it. I have spent a lot of time over the past few years focussing on my resources and improving my teaching strategies. I recently had a child and watching them learn how to fit shapes into a block has shown me how hard learning/ It has reminded me how difficult various mathematical concepts can be and helped me refocus and appreciate the difficulties towards learning new topics some students can face.

Teaching style

I love to visually represent math ideas and concepts to help students realize those 'ah ha' moments. I also love a good activity to link mathematics to the real world or a fun game to play to liven up a lesson. I like a mix of independent work and group work. I like to mix it up a bit to stop my teaching from getting stagnant.

My own education history

I have recently completed my MA in Education. This sounds odd to say as a teacher, but I was never a huge fan of learning when I was younger, however going back to study helped me find a love for learning and showed me again how much I enjoy teaching and want to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone I teach.
