Teaching style

My Teaching Style: Bridging the Gap from Textbook to Scan Room Practical, Visually Rich, and Clinically Focused. I believe that mastering healthcare and medical imaging sciences shouldn't feel like decoding a foreign language. My teaching philosophy centers on translating dense diagnostic theory, intricate anatomy, and complex scanning protocols into highly interactive, digestible, and engaging resources. Because sonography and clinical skills are deeply visual and hands-on, my resources heavily utilize: Clear Visual Analytics & Diagrams: Helping students connect spatial anatomy directly to what they will see on a live diagnostic monitor. Real-World Clinical Scenarios: Moving past simple rote memorization to foster true critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning. Scaffolded Learning Frameworks: Breaking down complex pathophysiology, specialized OB-GYN views, and general ultrasound exams into step-by-step, actionable concepts. My goal is to save educators precious prep time while empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals to transition seamlessly from the classroom to the clinical floor with absolute confidence.

My own education history

My Education & Qualifications Bridging Clinical Practice and Educational Excellence. I was an ultrasound technologist for large scale hospital systems in Detroit Michigan for 10 years. I encountered complex anatomical situations that required intense scanning that developed into direct conversations with residential radiologists regarding abnormal anatomy scans in certain situations. My background combines rigorous medical imaging science with advanced training in educational frameworks. This unique intersection allows me to design curriculum resources that are both academically sound and deeply rooted in real-world clinical reality. Focus: Developing inclusive, highly effective learning frameworks, curriculum adaptation, and scaffolded instructional design. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Ultrasound Technology * Comprehensive training in advanced diagnostic imaging, cross-sectional anatomy, and complex pathophysiology. Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Ultrasound Technology * Core foundation in sonographic principles, instrumentation, and clinical scanning methodologies. Professional Certifications & Credentials: * Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) * Active Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification * State-approved Daily Substitute Teaching Permit
