I have been teaching mathematics since January 2013 and have had the privilege of working with students in grades 6 through 12 over the course of my teaching career. Since August 2016, I have specialized in gifted education, earning my Master’s in Gifted Education in December 2020.
My journey with advanced courses began when I started teaching AP Precalculus in August 2023, followed by AP Calculus in August 2024. These opportunities have allowed me to share my love for mathematics with students who are eager to challenge themselves.
I believe that students learn and retain math best when they understand the concepts behind the procedures. While I incorporate direct instruction and note-taking, I strive to create meaningful opportunities for students to engage with mathematical ideas before formal notes—through introductory activities and explorations. This approach primes their thinking, deepens conceptual understanding, and makes the learning experience more enjoyable and lasting.
Teaching is not just my profession—it’s my passion. Every day, I aim to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for the beauty of mathematics.
