The Kitchen Sink

I have been teaching for the last 12 years. Most of that time has been spent in second grade, but I have taught 1st through 5th. I teach at a unique public school for gifted students. 10 of my 12 years have been spent teaching full time gifted students.

I have used everything but the kitchen sink, when it comes to teaching styles. I am loving interactive notebooks for math, science, and ELA currently. STEM activities are a big part of my science and math curriculum. Using task cards and stations to differentiate while working with small groups is what I feel most comfortable doing in my classroom.

I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Texas at Arlington in 2003 . I received my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2009. I also have my ESOL and Gifted endorsements.
