About the store
Hi and welcome to The Language Bridge! I'm an English teacher to primary school children. My goal is to create high-quality and engaging materials mainly concerning intercultural topics, based on history and geography but aimed at opening minds towards a world that goes beyond our own country. I find reading and comprehensions very useful: I search all types of information, edit them on a worksheet and transform it into an appealing activity for the students; normally you'll find different levels, because I always try to give children the option of choosing the one they prefer the most. I also enjoy matching activities, that can lead to deepening autonomous research or conversations. You'll also find games, rhymes or songs. I currently work at a Montessori School; therefore, all grammar topics and the used font will follow the Montessori guidelines. I strongly believe in what Dr. Maria Montessori calls "freedom of choice" because when children are free to choose what to work on, then they feel more independent, autonomous and motivated to invest themselves more deeply in their work. Because I also held some business classes for Italian managers, you may find some business English materials that ranges from how to use certain business expressions to phonecalls to writing an email or a resume. I am very excited to finally be part of the TPT community and I hope you enjoy everything I share! I truly believe that English is not just a language, but it's a bridge that can create incredible international and intercultural bonds between people from all over the world. It's THE tool of communication, and it's our job as teachers to help all students to achieve this goal.
