About the store

Experience

The Learning Authority instructional material creators are teachers with a combined 35 years of urban public school experience. We as a team bring more than classroom experience. We are and have also been mothers, homeschoolers, private tutors, Bible Study leaders, and new teacher mentors.

Teaching style

Our styles vary greatly, but we all share three core beliefs: * Thorough planning is the foundation of effective classroom management. * The more you know about your students the better you can engage them in learning and support their success. * Students' attention should be focused on learning skills and knowledge, not figuring out what their teacher (or a worksheet) is asking them to do.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Our materials have been adopted school-wide in several DC and Virginia schools.

My own education history

Every Learning Authority contributor holds at least a bachelor's degree in Education
