About the store

Experience

I have over 20 years of experience supporting young learners in early childhood and elementary education. My background includes classroom teaching, early literacy instruction, tutoring, and parent coaching. I hold degrees in Psychology, Social Work, ABA therapy, and teacher training which helps me understand both learning and the whole child.

Teaching style

My teaching style is warm, hands-on and child-centred. I believe young children learn best through engaging, playful, and meaningful experiences, so I use a mix of explicit instruction, multi sensory activities, guided practice, and lots of encouragement. I also pay close attention to each child's interests, and confidence so I can support both academic growth and a love of learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

100 % Honors in Psychology. I have also earned teacher training, ABA training, Authored many books, and have spent many years supporting young learners through classroom teaching, online teaching, ABA therapy, and literacy coaching. One of most rewarding parts of my work is watching children gain confidence, especially when a child who once felt unsure begins to read, participate, and believe in themselves. I believe every child is confident and able to learn far more than we think.

My own education history

I hold a diploma in Early Childhood education, along with studies in Child Psychology and Social Work. I have completed teacher training from a private organization (POAC) My education has given me a strong foundation in child development, early literacy, and inclusive teaching practices. I continue to learn through professional reading, collaborating with educators, literacy training, and most importantly hands-on work with young children.

Additional biographical information

I am passionate about helping young children feel successful, capable and excited to learn. Outside of teaching, I enjoy creating resources that make earning feel simple, joyful, and practical for both children and the adults supporting them. I especially love working with early learners because the small moments, a first successful read, a confident answer, a moment of pride, often make the biggest difference,
