About the store
Together, we bring over 30 years of combined experience in public education across classroom instruction, special education leadership, assessment, and itinerant service delivery. Our background includes roles as a classroom teacher, special education department chair, educational diagnostician, behavior support teacher, and Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI). We have worked across multiple campuses and grade levels, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support students with diverse learning needs. Our experience spans instruction, evaluation, compliance, ARD/IEP facilitation, workload management, and district-level coordination. Because we have operated in both instructional and assessment roles, we understand the pressures faced by teachers, related service providers, and evaluation staff. The tools we create are informed by real-world demands and are designed to support clarity, efficiency, and sound decision-making in special education environments.

Teaching style

My approach is structured, practical, and systems-oriented. I believe strong workflows create space for stronger instruction. I prioritize clarity, efficiency, and tools that translate directly into daily practice. Rather than adding more tasks, I focus on building smarter systems that help educators reclaim time while maintaining high standards of compliance and service quality.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting students with diverse learning needs and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful growth. My most rewarding moments come from seeing students gain independence and watching overwhelmed professionals find clarity through better systems and organization. I believe impact is measured not only by student growth, but by sustainable professional practices that support long-term success.

My own education history

I am in progress of earning my Master’s degree in Special Education (Visual Impairments) and continue advanced study in specialized service delivery and orientation and mobility. My academic work focuses on evidence-based practice, compliance frameworks, and innovative approaches to improving special education systems.

Additional biographical information

In addition to my work in schools, I am the founder of The Learning Index, an initiative focused on building AI-enhanced tools and workflow systems for special education professionals. My goal is to help educators and related service providers operate with greater clarity, confidence, and efficiency in increasingly complex service environments.
