The Lemonade Mindset

I have over 20 years of teaching experience- WOW! How is that even possible? I have taught first grade, seventh grade and fourth grade in a typical classroom setting before finding my niche as an elementary gifted specialist. I serve the gifted population at 2 campuses for grades K-5 which keeps me busy. We love to do anything hands-on that challenges and grows our brains.

My students are brilliant, creative, determined, compassionate, spunky, hard working and unique. These students come to school with a passion for learning and I have the responsibility to take their passions and find ways for them to pursue them. Because I teach in a low income school, these students come to me with few life experiences. It is my job to pull as many resources as I can and take their learning beyond the four walls of our classroom.
