Experience

I’m an experienced educator with 13 years in primary classrooms and the past 2 years working as a STEM education consultant. I have a deep understanding of what works in real classrooms: balancing curriculum demands with creativity, engagement, and meaningful learning. I specialise in designing hands-on STEM experiences that build curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking, and support teachers to feel confident and inspired in delivering integrated, student-centred STEM learning.

Teaching style

My teaching style is hands-on, student-centred, and grounded in curiosity and real-world relevance. I create STEM resources that are purposeful, playful, and accessible—designed to spark creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration across a range of year levels. Many of my resources are open-ended challenges that integrate design thinking, First Nations knowledge, and sustainability, with clear curriculum links and support for classroom implementation.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I received the Victorian Primary School Teacher of the Year Award in 2019 for my work in creating a STEM and literacy program that re-engaged reluctant writers through hands-on, purposeful learning. I designed a makerspace that combined robotics, electronics, construction, and storytelling, giving students opportunities to design, build, test and write with real purpose.
